Area Sales Manager – Automation, distribution, supply chain.
Sales engineer with an understanding for logistics, production, supply chains, distribution and storage.
You may have a background in the automation industry, the automotive production industry, or possibly in e-commerce. In other words, your background is not decisive, but you have a good understanding of the flow in a company: Inbound arrival of components, production, and outbound distribution of products.
You see bottlenecks and understand how these can be optimized; and you can communicate this in a manner which makes sense to the audience in front of you. This means that you must have a technical understanding combined with business acumen, and you must be able to communicate the business case behind a technical sale.
Key responsibility will be to grow the EffiMat business in Germany. You will do this by mapping and approaching relevant customers. As EffiMat is still reasonably new to the German market, there will be an element of educating the customers. We have the first references with some of the leading German auto manufacturers, and other German industrial customers, so there is proof of concept, and some very strong references. The market potential is significant. Your role will be direct sales initially. As our partner network in Germany develops, your role will transfer into sales together with partners, and eventually managing and supporting the partner network. Currently there is one other sales engineer in Germany and a GM for developing the partner network in Europe.
You are a sales person and you enjoy working actively with lead generation. This means you can segment, hunt, open new doors and nurture existing customers. You are honest, you have a well-developed situational awareness and your interpersonal skills are excellent. You are analytical; you are able to understand the profound nature of your customers’ work and how you can help them achieve their goals; i.e. you are not just a commodity sales person. You are able to manage a large number of stakeholders, evaluate potential, plan and execute on your activities.
You must be self-motivated with an extremely high drive. You are not afraid to open new doors, you do not take “no” for an answer and you walk the extra mile for your customers.
As a person you are uncomplicated and thrive in an informal environment. The corporate language is English.
